Huawei announce the G510: A solid mid-range device, headed to Vodafone UK!

Huawei have a good track record here in the UK, their mid-range devices always prove quite popular because they're reasonably priced and well spec-ed. This latest device, the Ascend G510, is no different and it'll cost £130 or £13 per month on contract and it will arrive on Vodafone on the 12th of this month! Keep that price in mind as we run through the specifics.

On the screen front there's a nice big 4.5-inch screen with a slightly disappointing 480 x 854p resolutions, making the screen FWVGA.  There's a decent 1.2 GHz dual-core processor to keep Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Huawei's Emotion UI ticking along nicely! The cameras are decent if not spectacular; there's a 5 mega-pixel rear and a VGA resolution front-facing set-up and video recording maxes out at 720p on the rear one.

Other than that there's a smallish 1700 mAh battery and a microSD slot which supports cards up to 32GB in size which should help support the 4GB of internal memory and 512MB of RAM.

At its price point it's a decent little phone if you're looking for something cheap on Vodafone, just don't expect to be receiving updates left, right and centre, if you ever get Android 4.2 then we'll be impressed!
