An 8" Windows tablet from Acer leaks as the company is rumoured to bring the B1's bigger brother to market!

There's two parts to this tail really. The first part involves a supposed Windows 8 tablet which is 8" in size and the second involves an Android tablet which was received very positively which might be getting refreshed!

The Windows part of this really got us quite excited! We've been hearing a fair bit lately about how Microsoft have updated the next version of Windows 8 to support smaller screen sizes, but we haven't heard anything concrete yet. That doesn't mean that this couldn't be a leak of one of the first smaller tablets running Windows. The device, which you can see pictured right, is supposedly running on one of Intel's 1.8GHz Atom Z2760 processors which is paired with 2GB of RAM. To
be honest that sounds right about right for a tablet of this nature and if the leak is correct there will be full Windows 8, front and rear cameras, a microSDHC slot, and the pretty sweet keyboard dock which is also pictured. We can't help but think that if this is real that it'd be a great addition to people's university and school bags! For lots more details and pictures head to MiniMachines here!

The second part involves tablets, but this time Digitimes has suggested that Acer could follow up the success of their 7" Android-powered Iconia B1 with a bigger 10.1" brother for the device! The guys suggested that with HP and Lenovo being amongst other companies who are targeting the budget market it makes sense for the Taiwanese firm to strengthen their offering too! If the device is real then we can probably expect to see a MediaTek processor on board and it's rumoured to arrive in August to 'catch up with strong summer demand'.

What do you think of that Windows tablet? Would you like to see a budget 10" slate from Acer? Let us know in the comments below!
