We're not normally impressed with laptop teasers. There's really only so much people can do aside from adding touch screens or using expensive materials, but it seems like Acer want to stand out from the crowd with whatever it is they're planning on bringing us on May the 3rd!
The video which is embedded below is the main attraction here and it seems like the guys are linking up with the new film Star Trek Into Darkness for the release of whatever this new notebook is. One thing which the video does confirm is that Windows 8 will be powering the device, but we expect the OS will look a tad dated by the time we get to the 23rd Century!
If you check out the picture above it's quite clear that there's some sort of hinge which seems to push the screen outwards almost like your desktop monitor would. While it seems to make quite the fashion statement, we're not sure how practical that would be in reality, but you know we're always up for seeing something nice and innovative!
