18/06/2012 and an apology.

Hi guys! I would just like to start by saying that this week I am on holiday with my girlfriend and as such if I do post it will only be 'the news in brief' unless I have a tonne of free time! I'm away from now until Friday but I will do my best to post everyday!

The News in Brief.

  • Barnes and Noble have denied any involvement with Microsoft on the creation of a much rumoured Windows tablet. The involvement takes place this evening and if this does prove to be real it'll take centre stage on tomorrow's post!
  • Google has secured a bundle of wireless efficiency patents from Magnolia Broadband, covering network capacity maximization, battery frugality technology and more.
  • Qualcomm has purchased a battery charging company that has a particular specialism in Speed charging! So perhaps S5 chips and future smartphones will go from no juice to that satisfying fully charged beep in a matter of minutes! Well we can always hope!
  • Samsung has released a 'SAFE' branded version of the Galaxy S3. The device has support for AES-256 bit encryption, VPN and Mobile Device Management functionality, among other things.
Of course the main news will be this Microsoft announcement this evening, keep it locked to TheTechFella for all the latest news!
