Samsung quietly out the budget Galaxy Discover, forget to add Touchwiz!

Sometimes low end phones are good, sometimes they're bad and sometimes they're just interesting. For the moment we're going to put this one in the last camp. Why you ask? Well because this is a low-end device from Samsung and some of you may have spotted that there's one thing missing in the picture above, but we'll come to that slightly later!

So the Discover will offer users a 3.5-inch 320x480p touchscreen, a single-core 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7225A processor, a 3-megapixel rear camera, 2.7GB internal storage which is microSD expandable all of which will be powered by a 1,300mAh battery and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich!

Some of you will still be wondering what it is that is 'missing' in from this phone and well there is literally none of Samsung's Touchwiz overlay in sight! Surprisingly, Samsung themselves even call this an opportunity to "taste of pure Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich [and] Experience mobile life without carrier or Samsung overlays." This is an interesting stance and it's possibly because there are a lot of budget Samsung phones with Touchwiz already and leaving it off this one will actually give it a 'stand-out' feature, if we can call it that?

Either way, the device is a nice new budget option which will be coming to Net10 and Straight Talk, but we don't currently know when or for how much!
