Samsung confirm Bada will merge into Tizen!

Samsung has announced that Bada will have a future, but it'll be living on through a merger with Intel and Nokia's Meego, which is now called Tizen. The Verge have quoted Yonhap reports which say that Samsung's Media Solutions Centre President, Hong Won-Pyo, claimed that Bada's app support will be embedded into Tizen so there will be some life in the small ecosystem which has been built around Bada.

Despite the app integration, it will not be possible to upgrade a phone which currently runs Bada to the new wonders and excitement of Tizen. The justification for this is that:
"Rather than seeing this as a straightforward merger, it's better to view it as a transition to a better service."
At the moment we haven't got any devices to show this app support off on yet, but we will get to see the first fruits of Samsung's and Intel's labour 'within the year' when  the first bunch, or should we say 'Wave' (sorry) of Tizen devices come out.

Naturally if and when we hear about Tizen-powered devices you guys will know soon after!
