Motorola reveal the Photon Q.
Today Motorola has revealed a brand new handset complete with QWERTY keyboard!!!
In terms of specs there's everything you have come to expect with a mid-range device. You've got a 4.3-inch 540 x 960 TFT LCD screen, 1GB of RAM and a dual-core 1.5GHz processor. Obviously there's that QWERTY keyboard, and a group of cool features which include; NFC, environmental performance assurance from ULE, and corporate email access with MS Exchange ActiveSync.
On the software front there's Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich with enterprise security too, although we don't know what exactly this will include. But, at least you'll have those great LTE speeds for your browsing!
On the plus side this phone is an international device, for you traveling types and there's 8GB of memory to store the maps on! And just in case that isn't enough there's a MicroSD card which can take up to 32GBs of extra storage. Or if you have got some spare room there's an 8MP shooter and a front-facing 'HD capable' camera. And the whole package is rounded out with Bluetooth 4.0 with EDR, a 1785 mAh non-removable battery and for longevity the whole device has been certified for environmentally rough situations!
If you live in the states and this tickles your fancy then keep an eye on your mobile providers website, it'll pop up on all compatible networks soon!
Sony's new flagship leaks? Brings 'Mint'-y fresh looks!
The device above is the much rumoured Sony LT30p, aka the Sony Mint and is widely expected to be Sony's flagship device for the foreseeable future.
The phone has a good set of specs; there's a 4.3-inch screen with a 720p resolution, a 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, microSD card slot, microUSB capable of MHL output, microSIM slot, NFC, and a sealed internal battery. The the headliner though, is the 13-megapixel camera, which should be capable of 1080p video recording. A front-facing camera capable of 720p is thrown in too! Mobile-Review, who leaked the device, said the phone has a screen of 4.3-inches, but as you can see to the right, it’s not far off the 4.8-inch Galaxy S III, so perhaps it's slightly larger than that! Ohhh and at the moment it's running ICS, and given Sony's update record we don't expect any update coming for a while!
When the phone lands at IFA, in Berlin at the end of August we'll probably have another few devices to report too!
