  • Rumours of a Lumia smartphone with that 41MP PureView camera just won't go away! This time the guys from MyNokiaBlog are reporting that the devic could arrive relatively soon and it could be an AT&T exclusive initially. Rumour has it that Nokia is currently testing two configurations of the phone; one with a dual-core and the other being a quad-core  Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. According to the rumour the latter of those two options struggles with batter life, something which will be vital if you want the rumoured 1280 x 768p AMOLED display, LTE connectivity and the FM Transmitter to last all day on the 2,000 mAh battery!

Is this Acer's answer to the iPad Mini?

Acer have been in the Android tablet game for a little while now. Their tablets haven't typically blown any one away, but they're always well priced, well specified and they seem to get updates pretty quickly.

With all of that in mind the device above, which is supposedly the Iconia A1-810, looks to be a pretty good alternative to the iPad Mini. If the website which let the cat out of the bag a little too soon was correct then the device sports a 7.9 inch IPS display with 1024 x 768 pixels, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a quad-core 1.2GHz MediaTek MT8125 processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, HDMI port, VGA front-facing camera with a 5MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a MicroSD card option. The 3250 mAh battery is a little small, but it should be workable!

The listing on the french website has since been removed and typically that is a confirmation that what was seen was pretty legitimate. What do you think? Is this the sort of thing which would interest you? If not then you might be a little bit more enthusiastic when you hear that it will cost €199, which makes it look like a bargain! As always let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
